GRIT FITNESS

Management

3/16/2020

As COVID-19 (Coronavirus) continues to evolve and with the growing concern around the novel coronavirus, we want to let you know what steps we are taking to ensure the health and safety of our members. We have made the decision to make adjustments to some of the amenities listed below for your safety.

What is Grit Fitness doing to protect everyone from novel coronavirus?

The health and safety of our members and staff is our top priority. While we have always had daily cleaning procedures in place, we've educated our staff and are practicing additional hygiene and cleaning practices to ensure that our facilities remain safe.

  • Locker room lockers, countertops, sinks, faucets, stall handles and flushing devices.
  • Coffee areas, lobby tables and desktops.
  • The door handles throughout the building.
  • Fitness equipment.

We encourage all members and our staff to follow these best practices to help keep yourself and others healthy:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Stay home when you are sick (and remain home for 24 hours after symptoms have disappeared.
  • Cover your cough, or sneeze into a tissue.
  • Use the disinfectant spray available on the fitness floor to wipe down machines and equipment before and after each use.

This page will be updated whenever new information becomes available, through our scheduled closing time each day. As with any newly emerging infectious disease, knowledge evolves with time and recommendations are changing rapidly. We are closely monitoring information from the Department of Health and will follow their prevention guidelines to help keep our facilities clean and our community safe.

Currently, we are open for regular hours. Members should practice social distancing, limited activities are available, and all areas monitored to ensure safe capacities. Unattended youth (under 18) are limited to being in the club no more than two hours per day.

To minimize risk of exposure & spread of this health issue DO NOT CHECK-IN OR ENTER if you meet any of the following criteria:

  2. You or someone in your household has had contact with a person with a confirmed or highly suspect case of COVID-19.

  • We want to minimize the risk of spreading the virus, therefore are reducing opportunities to be together in large groups which could increase the risk of spreading the illness.
